Postcard collection, [ca. 1907-ca. 1940s].

The collection contains real photo and printed postcards collected by Indianapolis resident Jay Small. The postcards date from circa 1907 to the 1940s and depict views and street scenes in towns and cities across Indiana, interurbans and railway stations, bandstands and celebrations, and examples of advertising. Also included are cards created from drawings by Indiana artist Cobb Shinn. The Shinn cards include sets of images of women, racing cars, children, Charlie Chaplin, James Whitcomb Riley, and more. Also of note are several souvenir fold-out cards and panoramas.
